After the Summer break the Porsche Carrera Cup GB roars back into life with Daniel Cammish leading the way as the championship heads to Snetterton for rounds nine and ten this weekend (August 8th & 9th).
The Norfolk track marks the beginning of the second half of the season for the Yorkshireman as he hope to extend his 41 point lead over second place challenger Josh Webster, after taking a clean sweep at Croft of two poles, two fastest laps and two wins.
He will be aiming to add to his tally of six wins and two second in the Nationwide / PPG Paint sponsored Porsche 991 as he heads to a track he enjoys.
Daniel commented: “I like Snetterton and I seem to have gone quite well there. I’ve usually had good weather with the sun out so we’ll have to see if that continues this weekend.”
“I like the circuit and I think our car will be strong there. It’s fast and flowing and has some fast corners. The car went well at Silverstone for the Supercup race where there are similar high-speed corners. I think some of the circuits coming up will suit us. The track suits me and the way I like to drive a racing car, I’m looking forward to it.”
Track action will begin on Friday 7th August for two forty-five minute practice sessions at 9:00 and 12:05. Qualifying will be on Saturday 8th August at 14:20 with both races on Sunday 9th August - race one starting at 10:45 and race two at 17:40.
