CARRERA CUP GB
Daniel Cammish, fresh from title victory at Silverstone last time out, will return to Brand Hatch this weekend, the scene of his debut in the championship almost a year ago to date.
The Leeds-based driver has dominated the championship this year with an unprecedented record of ten wins and four-second places. When the 26 year old crossed the line at Silverstone he put the title beyond the reach of nearest rival Meadows and extended his lead to 84 points.
Dan now heads to Brands Hatch in Kent for the final two rounds of the 2015 Porsche Carrera Cup GB championship and the only track he has previous racing experience of in the Porsche 991. He made his championship debut on the classic Grand Prix circuit in the guest car in 2014, taking two pole positions and a race one win, a record he will be keen to continue in the final race of this season.
"I want to go and enjoy the racing," said Dan. "It's good to go to Brands with no pressure. It's where I got the attention of Nationwide and mentor Tim Harvey last year so it’s good to go back to where it started.”
I’ve been looking forward to it all year, bar going to Spa it’s probably the best circuit on the calendar. It’s a track I like so I really want to go there and win. Nothing has changed now I've won the championship. It's the same team around me and we've got the same goal of winning races."
Qualifying for rounds 15 & 16 takes place on Saturday afternoon at 12:05. The two races follow on Sunday at 10:35 and 16:17.
